Our Mission

The members of the Order of the Eastern Star are dedicated women and men who sincerely reflect the spirit of fraternal love and the desire to work together for good. It gives them the opportunity to give a part of their time to many projects that benefit mankind.  Our lessons are scriptural, our purposes are beneficent, and our teachings are moral

On a State Level, we support Patriot Paws -Service Dogs for Veterans, American Warriors -Providing Rides for Veterans to Medical Appointments, The Scottish Rite Hospital in Dallas, Rainbow for Girls, DeMolay, ESTARL - Religious Scholarships and Educational Scholarships to name a few.

On a local level, Houston Ransford Chapter's major project is to provide scholarships for students in college. For an application please make a request on our contact page.  We also support Bike Around the Bay by volunteering to work a break point on race day.
